Do you know that glow on the end of the AR when you fire? Did you know it's not just cosmetic?
I used the Krin AR that has a 90 bullet clip, and it always seems to jam at the 27 bullet mark. I tested it again, but releasing the trigger for half a second before the 27 bullet mark, and I went further before jamming. Note that it takes 63 bullets shot in a row before the jam happens, which is 3 more bullets than a non officer AR has.
I'm sure this is just a bug, but hey, maybe not, maybe CCP plans to do something with the AR. |

I was on the MCC to test this officer weapon, they're rare and I don't feel like losing one in a pub match. I noticed it there and I was surprised, and after some testing I went AFK to write this post.
2. I am not whining, just sharing. |

Yeah, I don't see anything else to spec into unless you're talknig about tanks. |

my skepticism levels are very high. It happens after 63 bullets have fired. |

Let's say this "jam" is a real feature, it being only on an officer weapon is a complete waste of time. If it is more than a bug it should be implemented into every AR. No, I'm not. I have no intention for this thread other than saying that this exists. |

my skepticism levels are very high. It happens after 63 bullets have fired. Is there a jamming animation? Nay. The crosshair disappears and you can't do anything, exactly like a normal overheat. |

None of us know what the point of this thread is because there is none. You simply needed a reason to afk and feel like a hard done by victim yet again.
It's just another whine fest that you try to turn into fact. Where's the video? Do you have any numbers? Or do we just have your **** poor word to go on again? Whatever. Say what you want, AFK'ing was not my intention. |

I'm sure this is just a bug, but hey, maybe not, maybe CCP plans to do something with the AR. Let me understand it right if you just hold the shoot button in and keep firing the krins you will when you reach the 63 bullet get an overheat effect. NOT at the 27 bullet as some people believe. or am i wrong ?? BUT !! i think this is fair it's one of the weapons with most bullets in it's clip. This just means that it's not a mini HMG you can just spray down 5 enemies with, but instead you get an tactical advantage in that you can keep a firefight going for longer time without reloading gaining an advantage over your enemies. It also go a much better accuracy rating than the duvolle and as far as i know the Balacs is the superior officer AR while the krins is sort of in-between. No. It should have no such downside, it's an officer weapon, they're super rare. They're supposed to be overpowered.
And it jams when the counter says "27 bullets left" |

Your argument is invalid. |

The Balac's kicks like crazy from what I remember. I haven't used it in Uprising since I don't use ARs anymore. Balac's aren't hard to control if you know the trick. It works on all weapons. |

Beren Hurin wrote:I personally think all plasma/rail weapons should work inverse to laser weapons. Make an 'ionization' indicator that starts at 100%. Then the longer/faster you fire either the lower your RoF goes down (plasma) or the less damage your rounds do (rail). The gun would never jam do to ionization, but continuous firing of a full clip would reduce damage (RoF or damage) by up to 25% on STD weapons, 15% on ADV, and 5% on PRO. I think it'd only be fair to boost hybrid's initial damage up a bit to compensate then. Then I propose a kind of flux grenade that does crap damage to sheild, but also causes a little bit of 'deionization' and 'overheating' on hybrid and laser weapons respectively. This would lead in to a new layer of EWAR where you could effectively disable or reduce the damage on these weapon types. More for this idea here EWAR stuff will come Later(TM) |
